Tragedy often strikes our world, however, it happens way more often than it should. There are little and big ones but they all hurt just the same. The attack in Manchester is no different. May be the death toll was fewer than most terrorist attacks, but losing one life is one life too many. We need to stop looking for scapegoats and stop trying to make ourselves look weaker than we already are. People target the vulnerable. These terrorists aren't a specific race, gender, or nationality. They are a group of people who are trying to do what they think is right, even when it's obviously wrong. Stop assuming terrorists are Muslim and discriminating against them. These attackers could have been anyone, we don't have to target a race because of who they are. We need to target them.
Manchester was a horrible and devastating act of violence. People were there to celebrate and have a good time, that's what concerts are meant for. Instead people went home in fear and sadness. Families scoured through social media to see if the whereabouts of their loved ones could be found. No one should have to feel that way. We lost several people that night, even if they weren't physically harmed they will always be emotionally scarred. To the families and friends of the affected, we all send our condolences. Everyone will stand by you.
We need to take action, otherwise there is no way we are going to stop this from happening again. The people who we have "elected" to serve our countries haven't done anything. For them, the smaller the death toll, the less they need to care. That's not true. We need to push them to use all their resources in ending this constant cycle once and for all. It doesn't matter that this happened at a much more well known event for the current generation. There is no more popular and less popular when it comes to these attacks. They need to stop and maybe our efforts is what will finally make DC care.
