Wow. What an incredible ride it’s been. I’ve watched more football than the average girl my age, and can honestly say that I have never seen a team face more adversity than you. From injuries to suspensions, so many people thought, pretty much from the jump, that this was a lost season. I’m not one to doubt my team, but there were some moments this year when even I thought it was going to be impossible for you to come out on top.

I don’t how you pulled off the winning touchdown of the Tech game, or the unlikely rally against K-State, or that ridiculous overtime win in a monsoon against Baylor. But you did. I, along with everyone else in the world, will probably never understand how you came from 31 points behind at halftime and beat Oregon 47-41 in triple overtime. But you did. I don’t know how you managed to do all of this with 25+ starters missing games, and 30 freshmen being thrown into the mix with basically no experience playing at this level. But you did.

On behalf of every TCU fan out there, I want to say thank you. Thank you for showing the world what it means to play with your hearts. Thank you for always fighting back, even when all of the odds were very clearly not in your favor. Thank you for having faith in yourselves, even when the rest of the world was rooting against you. And thank you so, so much for giving every single Horned Frog out there something to be proud of.

To all of the seniors, I hope that you take this wild, crazy, absolutely incredible year and carry it with you far into the future, wherever it may take you. We will always remember everything that you gave to TCU, and we will always be proud of you, no matter what life happens to throw your way.

To those of you who will be returning, I know you learned some very valuable lessons and I hope that you come out and play even stronger next season, if that’s even humanly possible.

To the recruits that will soon begin your journey at TCU, I hope you have been watching, and that you come ready to play with every single piece of yourself as those on this team have done.

To Coach Patterson, words are not enough to explain what you’ve done for us this season. All I can really say to you is thank you for making a complete believer out of this Horned Frog, and out of all of those who ever, even for a split second, doubted the grit and the unprecedented courage of this team.

Through every high and low (and every close-game heart attack), this season will go down as one of the most incredible stories of any football team in history. I don’t know where you found the strength to do what you did this year, but I tip my hat to you. It’s absolutely unbelievable how far you have come, and I cannot wait to watch you continue to grow. We are beyond lucky to have you.

Here’s to many more seasons of chasing down the wild and the impossible and making it real. All my love to you, and as always, GO FROGS.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
