Only Her, Hillary Clinton

Only Her, Hillary Clinton

First and foremost, I am not one to share my political opinions, I typically keep them to myself. But, this election of 2016, is going to be one for the books; no matter the outcome. Our country will either be lead by a businessman who has no political background, and who is supporting the Republican party, or we could have the first female president in office who will be representing the Democratic party.

Yes, I am a Donald Trump supporter. This article is to allow my Republican self, to state facts about one candidate, not to start controversies, again, to simply state the facts.

Only Hillary Clinton lied to the American people about Benghazi, and then lied about the victim's parent were lying. Only she was involved in "Cash Cow." Only she has a long list of scandals. Only she nationally belittled her husband's sexual harassment and rape accusers. Only Hillary Clinton will not release her speeches to Gold Sachs and other banks. Only Hillary Clinton is tied to Monsanto. Only she was extremely careless about national security by the FBI. Only Hillary Clinton had to return stolen items from the White House. She hasn't created one job like she claims.

Only Hillary Clinton has had two or more movies and a number of documentaries made about her questionable ethics. Only she made Congress and others spend millions of tax dollars having hearings and investigating her to have seen she lied when she could've just saved everyone the trouble and told the truth in the first place. Only Hillary Clinton lied to the American people about lying. She's been investigated by the FBI and is even seen as a national security risk.

Then, the media likes and favorites Hillary for all the wrong reasons. ABC News executive producer Ian Cameron is married to Susan Rice, Obama's National Security Advisor. CBS President, David Rhodes is the Brother of Ben Rhodes, Obama's Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications. ABC News correspondent Clair Shipman is married to former Obama White House Press Secretary Jay Carney. ABC News and Univision reporter Matthew Jaffe is married to Katie Hogan, Obama's Deputy Press Secretary. There's even more connections, but the point is, the only reason she has this "support" is because the current administration is democratic, these people obviously favorite her.

Don't get me wrong, I would be thrilled to see a woman take office, but it needs to be the right woman. And quite frankly, with her resume, I certainly don't think she is the one I want leading my country. At the ripe age of seventeen, the democratic policies that she is about to put in, are going to dictate my generation heavily. One thing that Hillary will do is change our nation, but for the worst.

So today, November 8th, vote for who you truly believe is going to be right for our country. Someone you trust. And if you think that happens to be Hillary Clinton, you, my friend are what is wrong with our country.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
