Online Shopping: Friend or Foe?

Everyone knows the struggle of online shopping, its cruel and miraculous all at the same time. It tempts and teases you with all the beautiful fashion and makeup we want but can’t afford, but also lets you buy things with the click of a button. Lets be real we all spend hours looking at our computer or phone screens scrolling through pages of things we don’t need but desperately want. If you’re in a sorority it seems like a necessity to shop for things like recruitment, formal, socials, and of course all things with your Greek letters on them. It’s really not our faults they made it so easy for us to find the things we want.

Online shopping sites like Wanelo, Pinterest, Lulu’s and so many more are all responsible for why my credit card bill is so high. It seems criminal honestly, they post irresistibly cute clothes and shoes that are so close to ours we can almost touch it, but then there’s that dreaded buy button. I’ll never lose my love for actually going to the mall or going to a boutique, but there’s nothing like getting a package in the mail and trying on your new top or shoes, its like Christmas morning. Sometimes it feels like a part time job, spending hours looking through websites searching for the one thing you’ve been looking for is definitely work. Don’t forget they always ask our emails at the actual store so when we get those emails of cyber sales or a new season we have to go look, it’d be rude not to.

I can personally relate to anyone who says they have a shopping addiction; I am a repeat offender with online shopping until my credit card limit is reached. Having so much free time in college is dangerous and scary because it’s like you can watch your bank account dwindle. There are so many aspects that contribute to becoming a broke college student, however online shopping is definitely my top contributor. Besides, no matter how much it hurts my bank account I will always love shopping, online or in stores.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
