Last week I had posted an article on primarily why kids should go to school. This week will be on why kids should not go to school. Last week I had set up the scene so if you missed that you can check out my last article here.

By now everyone should know we are in a pandemic. Here are the reasons why your kids should not go to school. If you do decide to go to school, please for the love of God, WEAR A MASK!

There is a pandemic

Probably the most obvious reason. Germs will spread when people come in close contact with each other.

Not everyone is required to wear a mask

There are places and schools where masks are not mandatory. This is a problem, since wearing masks is how you protect others. Think about it this way: how would you feel if someone else is infected and is not wearing a mask and infects you?

There is no room in a classroom

Classrooms are pretty small as it is. When you put more people in a classroom, there is even less space to spread out. If you also add all the desks and shelves, there is even less space. Germs can be easily spread in these types of environments.

You don't know where other kids have been

You do not know which kids are going to school and where those children have been. You have no idea if they have basic knowledge of sanitization or if they follow the rules.

Touching the face

Touching the face is a common way for the virus to infect you since there are ways it can go in: through your mouth, eyes, etc. It is hard for us to keep our hands away from our facees and this could mean an increased risk of being infected.

Trust

Sending children to school takes a lot of trust. You have to trust that your kids will wear a mask the whole time or be clean the whole day. You have to be able to trust the school and the teachers that they are doing everything they can to make school a safe environment. Trusting can be hard for younger or less mature kids.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!
