What are you doing right now? Reading an article you found online about something you’re interested in. How’d you find it? You either scrolled through Facebook or happened upon it or you went to your go-to site for online articles. You know the site that has articles that make you laugh, make you cry or just help you pass the time. But with so many options, which should you go to and why? I’ll lay down a quick go-to guide for what each site strives for, what they have to offer, and when you want to go to them.
BuzzFeed (The place to pass time)
Somewhere along the line I’m sure you’ve clicked on a BuzzFeed link whether you wanted to or not. This site is filled to the brim with content whether it is funny articles or quizzes comparing you to everything under the sun. BuzzFeed aims to spread "the most shareable breaking news, original reporting, entertainment and video.” And judging by its large amount of posts, it doesn’t fail at its goal.
Head here if you're needing to pass time, catch up on gossip news, or want to see which burger you’d be from "Bob’s Burgers."
Her Campus (A girls guide to college)
A tad bit set in its own niche is Her Campus, a site purely devoted to helping college-aged girls survive the jungle that is known as college. Here women can find personalized stories from female journalists, love advice and general info about campus life. In other words, if Cosmo were to meet Seventeen and have a kid, it’d be Her Campus. While not the place to find something really serious or something not given a collegiate spin, this site serves a purpose to unite women in one site. It provides a global community to girls of both high school and college age, where girls can see they are not alone and are surrounded by others just like them.
Head on over here to see a great community empower women around them and read up on the latest Bachelorette news.
Spoon University (A foodie's paradise)

With contributions from tons of different universities, we can sleep soundly knowing all of us have such a great food resource at our fingertips. Stuffed with recipes, food hacks, how to's and much more, Spoon University has made itself different than any other site out there.
