What school do you think your favorite character would go to?

If "One Tree Hill" Characters Went To UW Schools

The majority of us have seen "One Tree Hill". We fell in love with them in high school. Once it came out on Netflix, we either binge watched the entire series or always had it on in the background. If "One Tree Hill" characters went to UW schools, where would they go?

Payton Sawyer: UW-Eau Claire

Let’s be real, she’s a music girl. This kind of seems like a no-brainer. Eau Claire has all of the music kids, I could see Payton here. She’s got that vibe that she would spend hours across the bridge listening to music and being creative.

Lucas Scott: UW-Oshkosh

Lucas is the most genuine character in my opinion. He wants to be close to home so he can be around his family. I see Lucas coming from a small town like Omro, WI and staying near. He also has to play basketball right? They finished third in the WIAC this year. For me, some of the most genuine people come from UW-Oshkosh. Seems like a great fit for Lucas Scott.

Haley James: UW-Madison

This one kind of seems like a no-brainer as well. Haley is a smart girl. It seems like the only UW school that would fit her needs is UW-Madison. It’s tough to get in, and with her 4.0 GPA they’d be lucky to have her. She would be challenged however to still be “tutor girl”.

Nathan Scott: UW-Whitewater

He’s the athlete of the show. The one in the beginning of the series who is always talking shit about being the better player. If Nathan Scott is going to go to any UW school it’s going to be the one with a good athletic program. That’s just something you can’t deny.

Brooke Davis: UW-Milwaukee

Brooke Davis, a character that everyone continues to love throughout the series. She is by far one of my favorite characters. Not just because she is played by the amazing Sophia Bush, but because she’s always honest and not afraid to show how she truly feels. Brooke Davis would go to UW–Milwaukee if she went to a university in WI. In case you didn’t know, they have a pretty awesome cheer team. And lets be real, who is Brooke Davis without cheerleading?

Mouth: UW-La Crosse

As much as I would love to have Mouth at UW-Eau Claire, I’m going to say he’d fit in well at UW-La Crosse. They’re one of the only Wisconsin schools that actually has a sports broadcasting minor. We all know that Mouth is meant to be a sports broadcaster.

Skills: UW-Stout

How can you not love Skills? He’s super laid back, and always up for anything. I would put Skills at UW-Stout. I feel like the students at Stout are always super chill and game for anything. Yeah they like to party, but so does Skills.

That’s my two cents on where "One Tree Hill" characters would go if they went to UW Universities. Where would you place your favorite character?

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
