12 Texts My Friend Has Sent Me While Watching "One Tree Hill"

A few weeks ago, one of my best friends from college started watching "One Tree Hill." I have been raving about "One Tree Hill" since we were randomly paired as suite-mates freshman year (we just finished our sophomore year in May). So, two years later and she's finally given into my suggestion (nagging, badgering, whatever word you'd like to use).

I got into "One Tree Hill" during high school and have re-watched the series (thanks, Netflix) four times. At least once a day during freshman year, my roommates would walk into my room and say, "Katie, why are you crying??" Each time, I had "One Tree Hill" to thank.

"This show is an emotional roller coaster "sniffle, sniffle*," I would say, while I continued to cry and eat disgusting amounts of ice cream in bed.

So, while we've been home for summer vacation, my friend has been watching "One Tree Hill." I think she's up to season six ... and all my fellow "One Tree Hill" watchers know how much drama there is in seasons one thru six.

I know my friend has really been enjoying her time watching the series, but she's not the only one -- every couple of nights, she'll text me about what's happening in the show. I love this. I might love her texts more than she loves watching the show.

So, to anyone who has watched "OTH" or has been their friend's, go-to-texter while they watched "OTH," I'm sure you can relate.

Here are some of my favorite texts that my friend has sent me while watching "One Tree Hill":

CAUTION: *spoilers*

1) Understandable first-episode character confusion

2) One season down, eight more to go

3) When Haley leaves to pursue music with Chris Keller

4) And then Jake Jagielski breaks your heart

5) And then the shooting episode

6) Arguably the saddest episode of the entire series ... RIP Keith Scott

7) And people don't even know the truth

8) And just when you think the drama quiets down ...

9) 4 years pass and a lot happens

10) And there are some new people in "Tree Hill"

11) And the whole plot line changes

12) But all the emotions are still there

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
