I’m always looking for new music to listen too. There is nothing like finding unknown underground artists and following them as their careers launch. We are always looking for the next big thing in music. In every genre, there is a new talent that rises to the surface takes over the game. There is always that new name that comes out of nowhere to erupt onto the scene and captivate an audience. The best artists are able to emulate other greats while remaining true to their own distinctions. This is replicated well and only a few are able to do it.

Aha Gazelle is the next wave. Last year, I stumbled on Gazelle’s music and he has been one of my favorite artists ever since. When you talk about creativity, presence, flare and flavor, Gazelle is that guy. Gazelle is the definition of an artist. He’s the ultimate triple threat as rapper/singer/writer. It is rare to see one musician be able to thrive in each position, but Gazelle does it seamlessly. If you love wordplay, Aha will gain your attention. His music appeals to gang member and the Christian college student. Several of his songs display his versatility and confidence as the complete artist.

One of the greatest aspects of Gazelle’s music is his unique sound and approach. Gazelle will never be mistaken for another rapper. He’s created his own vibe. His individuality beams through his adlibs and melodies. That’s the beautiful thing; he doesn’t compromise his craft for the culture. His approach creates a culture within itself that eliminates comparison. Aha says what he feels, no matter how unusual it may be, and it is still dope. Not many artists are able to stick to their convictions and remain relevant. Gazelle is just getting started and I would not be surprised if he is a household name in the next few years.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.
