The holidays are here again
And we're all missing your face.
We wish that you were here today,
But we know you're in a better place.
One less pumpkin
to carve this year,
But we keep our traditions
And smile through the tears.
One clean plate on Thanksgiving day
And one empty chair at the table,
We wish you were here to fill that place,
If only you were able.
One empty stocking hung on the mantle
That won't be filled with gifts,
But even though you are not here,
You are so very loved and greatly missed.
We miss you each and every day,
And wish that you were home,
because holidays won't be the same
Now that you are gone.
But we keep our traditions we've held through the years
Even though we are apart,
Because there are some things time and distance can't change,
And you'll always live in our hearts.
