One extremely important detail that I left out about myself in my bio was that I am quite possibly one of the biggest fans EVER of One Direction. You may think that that is very embarrassing, but I am, in fact, proud to be part of one of the biggest fanbases in the world.
On Monday, One Direction celebrated their 8 year anniversary. It's literally insane to think about the fact that I've been a fan of them for 8 years. I first discovered One Direction after they lost on the X-Factor. After that, I just became insanely obsessed. I went to every single concert that they had in Dallas, religiously listened to each one of their songs, waited in lines at 3 am to get tickets or to go to their pop up store. Anytime I went to a store like Delias (TBT, am I right?), I would buy every single piece of One Direction merch. It was kind of scary how dedicated I was to them.
When Zayn made the decision to leave my band, I was a literal mess. I couldn't stop crying and I was heartbroken over how my favorite band in the world would never be the same. But, I'm telling you that my world stopped when they announced that they were going on hiatus.
Basically, any band that has said that they are going on hiatus ends up never getting back together. I had only their old albums to keep me going while they explored who they are and their own music. Don't get me wrong, I am SO proud of them for all releasing their own music and being successful. I just wish that they would come back together and be the boys that I, along with millions, love.
When I was at my lowest point, and it sounds so cheesy and dumb to say this, their music really helped me. It made me feel as if I wasn't alone in what I was going through even though they had no idea who I was. They were just really there for me when no one was and I couldn't be more grateful to them for it.
So, One Direction, if you ever read this, please please please get back together very soon. I will 100% be in the front row for your reunion concert. Love you!
