What is Plastc?
Plastc is a new smart card where you can load multiple debit, credit, and loyalty cards onto one card. You don't have to worry about what kind of cards plastc will accept because plastc has every current feature on cards today. To load the cards onto plastc, you use the plastc wallet app to enter all the card information to, then you sync the data to the card.
How to use the card
Once you have loaded your card up from the plastc wallet app, you can simply swipe your finger across the e-ink touchscreen display to unlock the card. After unlocking your card to select which card you want to use, you can pay with the selected card and with the appropriate feature needed such as NFC, EMV, or Magnetic Strip.

Safety
Now with have all these features and all your cards on one device, you can expect some pretty secure measures.
1. Secure Pin
To make any change to your plastc card or unlock it, you will have to enter your four digit pin that you created when you setup your card. This way if anyone steals your card, they can't change anything or use it.
2. Proximity Alerts
If you are out for a night on the town and you forget to pickup your card, plastc has by default an anti-lost setting. It is preset at 100 feet, but you have full control of the distance to change it to whatever makes you comfortable.
3. Remote Wipe
If plastc disconnects from your phone it will start a timer that you set from one hour to a few days and once the timer runs out, all the data on plastc will deleted. Once you get a new card or find your card, you can easily re-sync your information back to the card.
Emergency and lock mode
Lock mode
if you have to hand your card to someone else or the merchant, you can enable this setting to hide your card number from being displayed. In lock mode, only the last four digits will be displayed on the screen and the only way to unlock your card is to enter your pin.
Emergency mode
If plastc's battery drops to low, it will enter a low power mode. To save power, your card will default to one card till it is charged back up to save power. You can change which card is your default at anytime with the wallet app on your smartphone.
How much will it cost?
The plastc card will cost you $180 for just the card itself and it will come with a two year warranty. Your first year of service is included with the purchase, but after that, it will be $50 a year. $50 is a small price to pay for convenience so you don't have to have a giant wallet to carry around all your credit and loyalty cards in.
