On North Korea's Recent Nuclear Threats

North Korea has expressed terroristic threats against South Korea recently. South Koreans have held protests and demonstrations against the fascist, isolationist country and its violation of the human rights of its people and its attempt to threaten South Koreans. In response to the threats, South Korea has shut down the Kaesong Industrial complex, its last cooperative tie with the North, who responded by cutting off all communication with the South. Southern politicians have been pushing for an anti-terrorism bill for some time and are now pushing for it even more in light of these recent conflicts and threats.

The United States and South Korea have been conducting joint military exercises, to which North Korea has responded with threats of nuclear strikes.

"As the joint military exercises to be staged by the enemies are regarded as the most undisguised nuclear war drills aimed to infringe upon the sovereignty of the DPRK, its military counteraction will be more preemptive and offensive nuclear strike to cope with them," the statement read. -- CNN

According to CNN, "about 17,000 U.S. forces will participate in the joint military exercises with South Korea" and they "will involve ground, air, naval and special operations forces from both militaries."

The United States attempted to quell this aggression by encouraging North Korea to not make hasty decisions and further preexisting tensions. Some American political pundits and speculators have brushed off the threats, as this is not the first instance of the isolationist and regressive nation making nuclear threats. However, some argue that this is a different situation due to North Korea's recent nuclear tests and the sanctions that were placed on them in response by the UN Security Council. North Korea called these sanctions "gangster-like."

However, even North Korea's last major ally, Russia, has warned them that even though the joint military exercises put "unprecedented military and political pressure" on North Korea, it is "impermissible" to make public threats of nuclear strikes. This reminded North Korea that nuclear invasions of South Korea or the United States are grounds for a Russian invasion of North Korea.

It is important to prevent any nuclear conflict, especially between major countries. However, North Korea's nuclear weapons are suspected to be underdeveloped in comparison to other countries that have nuclear weapons programs, to the point that their weapons may not even be able to reach the United States from North Korea. Nevertheless, even an attack on their southern neighbor could lead to a domino effect of nuclear war, which is something that the world must work together to avoid with everything that they can.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
