On Tuesday, April 13th, Olivia Rodrigo announced on Instagram that she will be releasing her debut album, 'SOUR', on May 21st. The album will feature eleven songs, two of which Rodrigo has already released this year: 'driver's license' and 'deja vu'.

Rodrigo has really taken the world by storm with these two releases. She released 'driver's license' on January 8th. It was the number one song for eight weeks straight and the first debut single ever to spend its first eight weeks as #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. This song also broke numerous other records including, but not limited to, the greatest number of streams in a week on Spotify and the most requested song on Alexa in one day worldwide.

But it was not just 'driver's license' that blew up; 'deja vu' has also been a rather successful single. In fact, on April 12th, Rodrigo shared on Instagram that both 'driver's license' and 'deja vu' were on the top 100 with 'driver's license' at #5 and 'deja vu' at #8. She is the first artist ever for both debut singles to be in the top 10 on the Hot 100.

Olivia Rodrigo is changing the face of music as we speak, with only having released her first single three months ago. There are nine new songs on her upcoming album 'SOUR', and I cannot wait to see all the success that is sure to follow.

But beyond the success, I am most excited to have nine new songs to blast in the car, screaming with the windows down. I must admit, however, that I am most excited for track #8, 'happier'. As a huge Olivia Rodrigo fan, I used to constantly listen to all of the little tunes she would write and share on Instagram. She had one up for a while called 'happier' and it was easily one of my favorites. I am so excited that I can finally have her music to stream on Spotify and not have to search for it on social media.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
