For all those "Scandal" fans out there (or Gladiators, as us true fans call ourselves) we all know that Olivia Pope and President Fitzgerald Grant are the epitome of a beautiful love-stricken relationship. I think I speak for everyone: whenever you see Olivia and Fitz together, your heart melts into a million pieces. OLITZ (Olivia and Fitz) are the couple that I believe everyone wants to aspire to be, minus the craziness of the White House and the fact that Fitz is married and is the President of the United States. They are clearly the perfect match for one another.
Can we all just admire the love Fitz has for Olivia in this picture right here? He loves her unconditionally no matter what is going on in their crazy, messed-up lives. He only has eyes for her. Yes, he may be married, but he doesn't look at Mellie the way he does at Olivia. There is this magical chemistry that pulls OLITZ together. It was clearly fate when she joined his campaign to elect him President.
Whenever you hear Olivia's phone chiming, you know it's the President trying to talk to his lady. They have one of those relationships in which they can joke around with one another, but know when the other one is upset or stressed. They will always lend a helping hand to each other. They always know what the other is thinking. They're each other's missing puzzle piece.
I cannot fathom how difficult it must be to hide your love for someone when all you want to do is scream it from the mountaintops. Fitz lives and breathes for Olivia. He is willing to throw away his political career to start a life with Olivia in Vermont. Who wouldn't want to escape the watchful eyes of the White House and start afresh? Fitz is patient when it comes to Olivia because he knows she has a career of her own. This isn't the "perfect" relationship by any means. But whose relationship really is perfect? All that matters is that the two of you love one another and are willing to fight for what you want.
OLITZ live and breathe one another. As the quote says, Olivia and Fitz are so in sync that they even breathe in sync. They're two people who can only live with one another. If something were to happen to one of them, they would be heartbroken. When Fitz was shot and lying in a coma in the hospital, Olivia was there. When Olivia was kidnapped, Fitz did everything in his power to get her back. OLITZ's love will never seize.
OLITZ's relationship is not the typical relationship that we picture in our heads, but their love for one another is never fleeting. They fight, they tease, they cry, they yell and they make up. Every relationship has its ups and downs, but OLITZ will always be that relationship we seek to attain because no matter what, Olivia Pope and Fitzgerald Grant will continue to love each other till death do they part. So remember to keep calm and OLITZ on.
