Thanksgiving is over, and it is finally the happiest season of the year. The holiday season is one of my favorite times of the year in the great state of Oklahoma. I might be a little biased since I am a born and raised Oklahoman, but I promise you that you will not want to miss out on all of the great things you can do in Oklahoma this holiday season.

1. Rhema Lights

You have to go check out the beautiful light display at Rhema Bible Church in Broken Arrow, OK. It is a great way to get in the Christmas spirit with your family, friends, or significant other.

2. The Eastern Flyer Polar Express

If you love "The Polar Express" then you definitely need to go to Stillwater, OK to enjoy some Christmas magic and take a ride on the Polar Express while enjoying other festivities.

3. Tulsa Winterfest

Tulsa is the perfect place to be this holiday season. They have a huge ice rink where everyone can ice skate even if in true Oklahoma fashion it is a little toasty this Christmas.

4. Castle of Muskogee's Christmas Kingdom

Go visit Muskogee, OK to enjoy a wide variety of Christmas festivities. There is a wide range of activities like hayrides, petting zoo, shopping and more.

5. Woolaroc's Wonderland of Lights

Go a little south of Bartlesville, OK to visit the historic Woolaroc Museum and Wildlife Preserve turn into a beautiful light show.

6. Owasso Christmas Tree and Blackberry Farm

If you are looking for the perfect Christmas tree, go to Owasso, OK. It is fun to pick out a tree with your family, and it is a picture perfect opportunity.

7. "The Nutcracker" Ballet in Tulsa and OKC

The perfect way to get into the holiday spirit is to go see "The Nutcracker" ballet in Tulsa, OK or Oklahoma City, OK. The Tulsa Ballet and Oklahoma City Ballet do a beautiful job each year on this performance.

8. The Christmas Train

If you want to hear the true story of Christmas, go visit Dry Gulch, U.S.A. in Adair, OK. There are a ton of great holiday activities, and you are sure to have a great time with your family.

9. Downtown in December

If you are close to Oklahoma City, OK check out the many holiday events throughout the season called Downtown in December put on by Devon. There is an outdoor ice skating rink, shopping, lights and of course Santa.

10. Chickasha Festival of Lights

For a beautiful light show, go visit Chickasha, OK. It is an incredible light show and a great family atmosphere.

You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
