“At some point in all of our lives we have experienced a moment of sadness."

Ohio University junior, Zachary Crandall, is a highly motivated individual filled with the perseverance to not only find his own happiness, but also inspire others to pursue mental well-being. Zach is a full-time student who not only works vigorously on his studies, but has also managed to create something of his own.

Going into his freshman year of college, Zach discovered a strong passion for anything that tested his creative abilities. While searching for a way to formally act on the many creative endeavors he wished to pursue, he began to recognize the possibility of establishing something special and unlike anything before it. Through this realization, Very Rare Creative was established. Very Rare is a creative agency, which offers a variety of services for clients and develops projects in-house.

“Aside from client work, we have divisions in music, fashion, and talent management. The music division is a record label that houses a handful of artists, producers, and music curators. Through the talent division, we book gigs, manage careers, and provide creative direction. While we offer a lot of services for our clients, our brand really stands out through projects under the Very Rare Creative umbrella.”

One project in particular is very close to Zach’s heart. Almost a year ago, Zach found himself in a rough spot. After going through troubling times and recognizing that he was living his day-to-day life feeling completely disconnected from himself and the world around him, he decided that he wanted to persevere and overcome depression. As he approached his goal of happiness, Zach often reiterated the expression, "Finally Happy," an idea that would eventually be transformed into a clothing collection.

Very Rare Creative has had successful project releases in the past, and "Finally Happy" was exactly what the agency needed in order to continue their mission and satisfy followers of the brand. With a tremendous amount of positive feedback through social media, Zach decided to launch pre-orders for the "Finally Happy" collection on December 1.

The purpose of the "Finally Happy" campaign was not only to endorse the idea of happiness, but also as a way to give back to an important cause. With every shirt, hat or sticker sold, Very Rare donates 20 percent of the proceeds to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Since launching the campaign in December, Very Rare has raised hundreds of dollars strictly through social media and word of mouth.

While the original idea began as personal experience, the opportunity to convey his message to others has made an impact Zach could have never imagined.

“It’s the greatest feeling to be walking around campus or scrolling through Instagram and Snapchat and seeing people wearing 'Finally Happy,'" he said.

While not all work that Very Rare Creative puts out goes towards a charity such as this campaign does, Zach says that they are always willing to give back when possible. The future for Zach and the rest of the team at Very Rare looks quite bright as the agency continues to establish themselves by forming relationships with clients and putting out great work.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
