Ohio has now passed the country's most restrictive abortion bill. The 'heartbeat' bill bans an abortion at around six weeks into the pregnancy-- when the fetus's heartbeat can be heard.
The already twice-defeated bill has now become relevant once again due to the recent election of President-elect, Donald Trump. The vacancies within the Supreme Court will be filled with justices that are more likely to vote pro-life.
The bill will make no exceptions towards rape or incest, but will if the situation puts the mother's life in danger. This bill is the first of many differences that the Republican party will be making in the future.
