If you're a diehard fan of the show "Parks and Recreation" and go to school in Ohio, then this is the article for you! Based on common stereotypes/generalizations of major Ohio colleges, I was able to put together a list of the iconic characters of the show and which school fits them. Read on to find out who best matches your school!

Donna Meagle: Kent State University

Donna is arguably one of the biggest fashionistas on the show (next to Tom Haverford), and is never afraid to treat herself on a shopping spree. Kent State is one of the top schools in the nation for its fashion design program, so Donna would easily be one of Kent State's best alumni. Donna is sassy, very tech-savvy, and hip with the times, just like the modernized Kent State campus and the students who express their love for their school on social media.

Craig Middlebrooks: Miami University

Craig can be wild and unpredictable at times, but once Tom helps him with his composure, he transforms into a classy, well-dressed guy, much like the students of Miami. Craig is passionate, sassy, and gets defensive if people upset him; and if anyone bashes Miami in front of a student they will be quick to prove them wrong.

Andy Dwyer: Ohio University

Andy is an easily lovable and sweet character, and he's always getting into something crazy. Ohio University students always know how to have a good time and how to have fun, and if there's a party Andy will be the first to arrive. He is free-spirited, kind to everyone he meets, and loves to have fun, but he can be serious if he has to. Although he spends much of the series trying to figure out what he wants to do with his life, he finally gets a career he loves. Once you graduate from Ohio you are sure to be on track to a career that you'll love just as much.

Leslie Knope: The Ohio State University

Leslie is career driven and determined to be the best at everything, so what better alma mater for her than Ohio State? Her high standards and enthusiasm for her job are reflective of Ohio State students as they love their school more than anything. Leslie aims for the top, and Ohio State offers so many career paths and opportunities that can help students be the best they can be.

Tom Haverford: Bowling Green State University

If any character on the show would be in a fraternity, it would probably be Tom. Bowling Green's involvement in Greek life showcases their outstanding PR and marketing skills, which is Tom's speciality. Tom's charisma and overall swagger are part of what makes the students at Bowling Green so original. Bowling Green is often seen as a love-or-hate school, much like Tom's character.

Ann Perkins: Case Western Reserve University

Case Western's world famous medical school would be home to none other than Ann Perkins. Ann is sweet, kind, intelligent, and she is dedicated to her work. She loves her job as a nurse, which means she had to endure that extreme workload, but it all pays off in the future.

Chris Traeger: University of Cincinnati

Chris's enthusiasm and optimism are what makes him such a lovable character. UC's students show that same enthusiasm for their sports teams that they support no matter what. Chris would be in the middle of every student section leading every cheer and showing his pride for his school. Chris is driven, career-oriented, competitive, and works hard just like the students at UC. Literally.

Ben Wyatt: University of Dayton

The University of Dayton is known for being innovative, intelligent, and always pushing the boundaries of education. Ben is highly intelligent and makes it known without being obnoxious or snooty. He's humble, just like the students at Dayton. He is professional, caring, and devoted to his work, which makes him that much more respectable.

April Ludgate: University of Akron

April is, in the best way, dark and scary most of the time, which can be compared to the streets of Akron outside its campus. But when you get deeper into the university, you'll find that it's beautiful and full of opportunity. April is dark on the outside, but inside she's very caring, loving and protective of those she's close to. April is unsure about what she wants to do with her life, but she is not afraid to try new things and take advantage of those opportunities to find something she loves.

Ron Swanson: University of Toledo

We all know that Ron hates city life, and he prefers to live in solitude by himself. Well, what better place for him to go than the University of Toledo, in the middle of nowhere? Toledo isn't too big and crowded, and its smaller, closer community brings students together. Although Ron hates socializing with people, he eventually develops close relationships with his colleagues who deep down he loves.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
