Oh, Is It Easy

But it is not your fault.

Oh, Is It Easy
Hayley White

Oh, is it easy to feel like the girl everybody gives up on. It is easy to feel not good enough. It is easy to let the opinions of others defy you. It is easy to feel like you do everything wrong. It is easy to feel like it is all your fault. It is easy to “see” why everyone gives up on you.

But, sweet girl, do not let these feelings take over you.

These terrible things, they are not true. Those who decide to give up on you have lost something so immensely beautiful and pure. They have lost something so dear and special, something so unique and wonderful. You are a masterpiece, crafted ever so precisely. Nothing about you is a mistake, nothing about you is wrong. You were built so perfectly in the eyes of God. You are not what those people define you as.

Those who left were simply unable to hold something so precious. They were not worthy. You are a gift, a queen. No one should treat you as anything less. If they do, it is because they are too naive to realize what they have in front of them; and what they have is a strong woman, an unbreakable spirit. A girl who dreams of adventures and experiences.

You are young with the world in your hands, opportunities in your grasp. Do not let those who do not know your worth hold you back from greatness. You are more than what they have made you out to be. You are a force to be reckoned with, a statue of survival. You are incredible, sweet girl. If someone leaves, it is not your fault. It is theirs and they have made a terrible mistake. You may not see it, and they may not see it, but time will prove it. Shake the negativity from your mind, release it from your soul. This beautiful world was created for girls like you. Girls with dreams in their eyes and love in their hearts. Do not waste it on those who are unworthy of it. Do not force it onto those who are unworthy of it.

Focus on yourself, sweet girl. Learn to love your own soul first before you strive to love someone else’s. You know your worth, your mind, your soul. Love yourself. It is not your fault that people leave. It is not your fault that people give up. Do not let your heart be burdened by the mistakes of others. Do not let your soul be devastated by the words of others. You are more than good enough. You are more than the mistakes you've made, the wrongs you've done. You are good, whole, unique. You are created precisely the way you are meant to be.

Love yourself, and most importantly, never give up on yourself.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended. Blair never needed another person to define who she was and she certainly didn’t need a man to do that for her. When she envisioned a goal, she sought after it, and took it. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.
