If the subheadline doesn't make sense, than the rest of this won't either. However, if it does, than I'm sure you can hear that familiar tune in your head. Here are 10 things that you know to be true if you are from Hampton, Tennessee.

1. You bleed blue.

2. You looked like a fool for a few weeks wearing a gas mask everywhere you went, because nowhere was off limits.

3. The Veteran's Day program was something that you always ended up crying at.

4. "Dawgs on 3, 1..2..3... DAWGS"

5. No matter what, when tragedy struck, we were together, we were a family.

6. Friday Night Football was life.

7. Constantly hearing, "Oh, you're so and so's grandchild right?"

8. "We are... H TOWN."

9. We had, hands down, the best educators possible.

Everyone had that one teacher who made you feel like you could take over the world if you wanted to.

10. Your heart will always yearn, until you return to Hampton, Tennessee.

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.
