Fall is right around the corner! The leaves are changing and the temperature is going down, finally. The days are getting shorter and the nights longer. Purdue has many exciting activities that must be done in the Autumn months!
1. Hot (or cold) cider at Greyhouse
This cafe is the perfect first date spot. From the chill atmosphere to the quirky baristas, Greyhouse has it all. Whether you are in the mood for gelato or coffee, or even a refreshing apple cider, this is a must-visit.
2. Breakfast club
You better be up before the sun if you want a decent spot in line for the bars at Purdue. Don't forget your crazy costume either! This timeless tradition goes in the books for the most ridiculous event for college students. Everyone has to do it at least once!
3. Tailgate
After being at the bars all morning, you'll get pretty hungry. Go hit up some tailgates. Burgers, hot dogs, brats, oh my!
4. Barn dance
Get your plaid and cowboy boots out! Grab a date and get ready for some country-themed dances. Barn dances are a great way to meet new people and have a fun time with old friends.
5. Fountain run
Since it is getting colder, you are running out of time to go on a fountain run! It's this crazy thing that Purdue students do where they run through all of the fountains on campus. Cross this one off your bucket list before it gets too cold!
6. Eat at Triple XXX
Ahh, the famous Triple XXX. Whether you want a delicious breakfast meal for dinner or a giant burger with peanut butter on it, this is the restaurant for everyone. And don't forget their notoriously delicious root beer!
7. Go to dining courts for Thanksgiving dinner
You will want to get in line for this one right away. Last year, I waited for 45 minutes just to get into the dining court! People from all over the Lafayette community take a visit to one of Purdue's dining courts to enjoy incredible carved turkey, fluffy mashed potatoes, and delicious pumpkin pie.
8. Come up with three Halloween costumes for Halloween weekend
Halloween is more than just one day in college. You need to prepare for an entire Halloween weekend! Be scary, funny, or sassy. Whatever you decide make it better than a basic cat!
9. Hang on Slayter Hill
What's more fun than rolling down a giant hill in the middle of fall? Absolutely nothing. Grab some friends, some blankets and some tunes and have your own little Slayter Hill kick-back.
10. Play intramural flag football
Not everyone is cut out for the big leagues. I'll be honest, I'd be scared to death if someone was running full speed at me preparing to take me to the ground. I can handle some flag football though. Grab some friends and make a team!
