It's every white American's favorite sitcom. And now that it's Christmas, it's time to bingewatch the holiday episodes. Here is my recommended viewing order (the best is listed at #7 because apparently we're not allowed to do count-down articles anymore).
1. Christmas Wishes (Season 8)
Okay, as much as I love Erin and how cute and relatable she is in this episode, I have to rank it last. It's the first Christmas without Michael Scott, instead we get Robert California (I just don't like him, I'm sorry), and the awkwardness between one of my favorite couples (Andy & Erin) just make it hard to watch.
2. "Dwight Christmas" (Season 9)
Don't get me wrong: I love seeing Dwight's traditional Christmas. The episode just isn't nearly as funny as some of the others on this list. Add Erin being sad about Andy (again :/), no Michael Scott, and the fact that let's be real, the show had peaked a few seasons back, and this episode lands at number six.
3. Moroccan Christmas (Season 5)
This episode has a couple great elements: Meredith's intervention and the rehab scene, and the tension between Phyllis and Angela, ending with Phyllis finally standing up for herself. That and "Do you take requests? Please stop." But overall, it just doesn't land as nicely as some of the others.
4. Classy Christmas (Season 7)
This one's great. We've got Michael and Holly reunited, and we've got the snowball fight. While it's great to see our OTP reunited, and we know where it goes, it's still hard to watch the tension between them in this two-parter.
5. Secret Santa (Season 6)
This episode is amazing. It has the cute Andy & Erin moments, Michael as Jesus, "I need this, I need this!", and the branch finds out they're not out of their jobs. Definitely lands in the top 3.
6. Christmas Party (Season 2)
The first Christmas episode. Aside from how painful it was to watch Michael insult Phyllis's gift so hard, this was a great Christmas special. It just wasn't quite as funny as my pick for #1:
7. Benihana Christmas
A phenomenal Christmas episode. Too many jokes to name. Too many iconic lines, including "Christmas is cancelled." Hands down deserves it's spot at #1 on the list.
Merry bingewatching, everyone!
