Off-price retail stores are extremely common today, yet very underrated and underestimated. One of the most affordable ways to shop, with a multitude of popular name brands, these stores should be your go to. Why go to large expensive department stores when you can find the exact same brands for cheaper?

Here are five reasons why you should not underestimate an off-price retail store and you should head over to one ASAP:

1. Nice brands for an affordable price

From Lagos to Michael Kors, to Valentino and Jimmy Choo, these off-price retail stores have almost every nice brand. And the best part? They’re almost half the price. Why spend full price on those Christian Louboutin shoes you just NEED to have when you can buy them for almost half off?! Off-price retail stores have a multitude of varying brands and items and all at an affordable price. Almost everything you can find is nice, well made and well priced.

2. Finding one-of-a-kind items

Of course, you can find differing opinions on all items that are trending at the moment. However, you can find items that no one else has. There's nothing better than having the cutest pair of jeans or shoes and knowing that no one else is wearing them too. You can feel like you have your own style and are unique in your own way. These stores are the perfect place to find items to add a change to your style, and personalize it making it just for you! You’ll be the only one rocking the cutest booties ever.

3. More value

There is simply no better feeling than walking out of a store spending the same amount of money on six items, that you would've spent on one item at another store. Off-price retail stores allow you to get more for your buck! You can buy amazing items of the same quality for a much more affordable price. With such a great price, you can buy even more without feeling all the guilt!

4. Shopping from every department

Most off-price retail stores allow you to shop from all different departments. Between jewelry, apparel, bags, furniture, beauty products, etc. there are an abundance of opportunities and items to find. Everything is in one place, with all different items, and again, all for an affordable price.

5. Return anything with no restocking fee

One of the best policies with most of these off-price retail stores is that you can return anything without a restocking fee. There is nothing worse than paying a fee for having to return something you do not want. You can return any of these items whenever you need and never have to worry about paying a fee for it. Just another great way to save money.

PSA: The number one rule with off-price retail stores; if you see something you like, buy it! Sometimes there's only one or two of these items in every store, and if you don't buy it, the item might not be there when you decide you want it and come back. Buy the item if you’re considering it at all. And you don't need to worry, you won't be charged if you return it!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
