Now that my time is coming to an end, I've been reflecting on some of the things I've learned from being a contributor to the Odyssey during my time at school. It's a great opportunity to get experience while you're still in school and earn a few bucks if you can crack the code like some creators.
1. How to make a bomb listicle
You can list almost anything in a clever way after a little bit of experience.
3. You can meet a weekly deadline
Without anyone breathing down your neck about it, you manage just fine.
4. You can make any need for an extension sound professional
You're hungover, but you can't say that. So let's talk about how you are 'currently unable' to write.
5. You can brainstorm like nobody's business
Your own articles, helping other people, rewriting, and all.
6. You can flip a headline around
Restaurant lists become "places for amazing eats."
10. A little team spirit over email
It's always nice to see one of your team members being in the top shared article of the week.
11. You have random tid bits of expertise
Listicles of odd numbers do better. Personal photos do better. Just things to think about.
