I’m homesick. Well, not really homesick, just missing home is all. Don’t get me wrong, there are definitely days where I am glad to be living on my own and making my own experiences out of the life I’m living as a college student. But sometimes, you just miss your mom’s cooking, or your dad’s hugs, or fighting with your sister, or wrestling with your brother. A place where your cats roam free and wild and there is always a bed to crawl home too. Well, that’s my house anyway, but everyone has a place like that. Whether it be your family home, a family member's house, a playground, a sports field etc, there’s nothing better than a place to call home.

So mom, thank you for always listening to me complain about my problems and braiding my hair. For making sure I was always fine when I wasn’t at my best and making sure I always looked my best. I could never thank yiu eniugh. You were not only my best friend, but also a great mother and role model and I couldn’t ask for a better example. You are the perfect medium between strict and easy-going and I’m glad I grew up knowing more about myself because of it. I love you! Thank You!

Dad, thank you for being such a great model of hard work. You always gave me a reason to work harder even when I though I did my hardest and taught me to never give up or in. You made me understand that Boswell’s never give anyone a reason to look down on us or think less of us because we were great and powerful in our own way. Teaching me to never care what other’s think and to always stay true to myself has always been a life motto and I promise to make sure the people around me and my kids know the power of the Boswell.

Jaylen, thanks for always being my second ears. I don’t think there is a closer person to me than you and I thank you for that. It is always a great thing to have someone close to you to always talk to and share your burdens and strifes with, not to mention dance and freestyle rap with, and I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to be with than you. Thank you for always giving me some of the best advice of my life and always being by my side when I needed you. I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to be a great big brother. Thank you!

Lastly Jaream, Now, I know I don’t say this often, but I love you. I know I don’t treat you the best and I take your shoes and I make you do things for me , but I really do appreciate all that you’ve done. I’m glad I got to grow up with a little sister because now I know what it feels like to live with someone the complete opposite of me. Yes, it is annoying at times but, I don’t think I would trade it or anything. Because of you I had a best friend that I never had to leave home to hang out with or completely be a jerk too. I know I wasn’t the nicest all the time, but thank you for always being there for me. I love you.

So thank you guys. Thank you for being my home. Whether it was a call up at school when I wasn’t feeling my best, or even sending up money when I was broke from all the colleging I’ve been doing. You’ve alway been my home and I love you guys. Thank you, and I can’t wait to see you again.

The Battle Between College And My Mental Health

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

For the average 20-something, life moves pretty fast. You’ve got classes, friends, relationships, jobs, family, and whatever else we overcommit ourselves with. I probably should have learned to say no to adding more to my schedule a long time ago, but instead here are 11 things that can be more helpful than coffee.

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
