Contestants usually find out two weeks before filming if they have made it to the final round which means they only have two weeks to quit their jobs and figure out who's going to watch their house and their pets.
Producers plan the weird entrances made by some of the contestants
If you've ever wondered how some of the guys and girls come up with the weird or cringe entrances onto the show, it's because the producers come up with them beforehand to make it more interesting.
There is no contact with outside world while filming.
Contestants are not allowed to use their phones, watch TV, or sometimes even listen to music during filming. Many have said that it can be hard not having any contact with anyone outside of the house as they can't even leave the house.

Guys and girls eat before the dates so that there is time to talk and get to know each other rather than chew on food. Also, because most people don't look very attractive while eating a lot of food on camera.

Many contestants and past bachelor and bachelorettes have stated that dates in the water are one of the only times where there is no mic attached to them so they can actually get to know each other and talk a little more privately.
The screening process is creepy.
The screening process begins with contestants making a video where they pitch themselves like a product. Then, if the producers like the video, they move on. During an audition weekend, potential contestants are given a 150-question personality test, which includes stuff like "Do you think you can control things with your mind?" and "Have you ever wanted to kill someone?" Then, there is a one-on-one with a producer and a lot of other personal questions that you may have never been asked before.
