How the warm
Summer breeze
Turns to a harsh winter
freeze.
Leaves turn from green
To red, yellow
& tangerine.
A crisp whiff of earthly
decay, wafts my way
& the canopy's
nearly empty
branches sway.
With Persephone's
final breath
At the underworld's
First Day.
