Ever since I was 10 years old, I became interested in Korean pop music. Despite the language barrier, I always managed to find a way to still jam out to the songs. As the years progressed, I was introduced to a wider variety of Korean music: R&B, hip-hop and much more. I also became obsessed. I still remember the time I memorized all the EXO members' birthdays — a somewhat impressive considering there were 12 members at the time. I had posters plastered all around my wall in my room, and I always went kept tabs on every single detail of my favorite K-pop groups' lives.

To be honest, I'm still obsessed with Korean music. But I do have to admit, I definitely dialed down the crazy several years ago. However, to those who are obsessed with K-pop, here are 13 obvious signs that you still got that crazy going for ya.

1. When you search up how tall your favorite idols are to compare height differences

Even though you know their platform shoes got inches, too...

2. When you follow at least 10 different K-pop fan accounts on Instagram

Can never crack up at too many memes!

3. When you hear people talking about K-pop, and you'll do anything to join the conversation

4. When half of your room is covered with K-pop posters...

Yes, I do need six different angles of Taehyung on my wall, MOM.

5. When you want to buy the same clothes you've seen your favorite idol wear

6. When you don't know the latest popular American songs because you've been too busy listening to Korean songs

Taylor Swift did what to who? Dunno, I wasn't looking.

7. When your phone lock screen and home screen is K-pop related

8. When you stay up till 3 a.m. just to watch your favorite K-pop group perform live on a music show

'Cause you is loyal, OK.

9. When photo album on your phone is completely filled with K-pop related photos and videos

Grandma be like, "Who are all these boys, dearie?"

"My 7 precious husbands, Nana."

10. When you start learning Korean just to understand what your favorite Korean idols are saying on Korean shows without subtitles

Alright, "I love you" and "hello" — looks like I've got the basics down! Time to move to Korea.

11. When you spend an entire night just listening to all of your favorite K-pop group's songs, from the very first to the most recent one

12. When you would buy anything related to K-pop, especially if it has your favorite K-pop idol's face on it

Marketing experts, take notes.

13. When you happily watch a Korean drama just to see your favorite idol appear for about 20 minutes overall out of approximately 900 minutes

14. When you snap at the cameramen who poorly recorded your favorite group's live performance

Suddenly everybody in the comment section is an expert videographer critiquing angles and pacing. Also that moment when fancams are a steady 4K compared to the actual 480p live broadcast. K-pop fans know their stuff.

15. When you scream in the middle of class after seeing a new notification about a new music video from your favorite group

I WASN'T READY.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing!
