We all come across challenges that we wish we didn't have and we all struggle to overcome them, but we need to remind ourselves that this too will pass and we will grow from it.

Knowing that difficult situations present opportunities for growth is both comforting and annoying.

Because wouldn't life just be so much easier if we weren't growing all the time?

Yes. Yes it would life would absolutely be so much easier if we weren't constantly being forced to challenge ourselves, but it would also be much less rewarding.

A little challenge every now and again brings out the best in us.

Facing difficult situations teaches us to rise to the occasion, instead of accepting defeat.

We are capable of handling so much more than we think.

Withstanding the curveballs life throws at us only makes our foundation grow stronger.

Things are going to happen, we will be tested so why not change our the lens in which we look at a challenge and welcome it into our life instead of wishing it wasn't there.

Changing your perspective to have a positive outlook on life will make you a much happier person.

Accepting that life will not always be sunshine and rainbows will prepare you for the harder times to come, but seeing the bright side in bad situations will make you more enjoyable to be around.

People who believe they are carrying the world on their shoulders tend to end up bitter about it.

You don't want to end up like that person.

Understanding both that the challenges you face will benefit you in the long run and that you are not the only one with said challenges will grow you into the strong leader you're meant to be.

Don't run from adversity, but don't let it turn you into the villain of your own story either.

It is that time of year again. Christmastime. It is one of my favorite seasons for a myriad of reasons. Here are just a few reasons why I love Christmas. This list is in no order of importance.

1. The Christmas decorations

I am that person who will decorate directly after Thanksgiving is over. This year, my roommates and I put the tree up in our apartment before we even left for Thanksgiving break. It is a great stress reliever for me to just sit in my living room and work on the huge amount of work I have before the semester is over.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?
