The Obsession With Man Described From God's Perspective

The Obsession With Man Described From God's Perspective
Bob Cuyp

Why is your focus on them? Why are you always aware of where they are in the room when they seldom acknowledge you? But I am always in the room with you, and I am only looking at you. I’m looking at you with admiration and unfathomably genuine love. I’m thinking about you all the time, thinking ‘why don’t you run to me? I love you. I’m always aware of you. I’m never going to harm you, I would never ignore you.’

Why are you only looking at them and not the One who died for you to live? The One who made the ultimate sacrifice just to see you, right here in this room;

Joyful in your circumstance,

Thriving off of my love alone,

Confident in my presence in your heart,

Secure in my transient peace.

Run to me, my child. Notice me, when I am only looking at you. Not because I will not be the All-Knowing God without you, but because I want what is best for you, and that is Me.

I have so much to show you. I have so much to teach you about who I am, about who you are. Right now, you are not who I intended you to be. Sin and the world have taken my mold for you and misshapen it. You were made to be a child of light, a vessel of love, a child who radiates, and passionately waits, one who is in wonder and awe of my creation, and is always aware of their ministry mission here on earth. Not to be mistaken as taking this beautiful truth and keeping it all to themselves but to want to share it with everyone, so that everyone can experience this joy and escape the feeling you once knew.

Why would you look only at them, and not to Me? When I loved you before I made you. It is not fair to me, that you are aiming to please someone who did not sacrifice all they had for you. But if you keep your eyes on me, one day I will lift your chin to the one who is willing to.

“If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.”

- Colossians 3:1-4

“For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.”

- 2 Corinthians 4:6

“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

- Deuteronomy 31:6

“I praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.”

- Psalm 139:14

an image of taylor swift standing center stage surrounded by her backup dancers in elegant peacock esque outfits with a backdrop of clouds and a box rising above the stage the image captures the vibrant aesthetics and energy of her performance during the lover era of her eras tour

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
