Obama has had enough of Trump and his supporters and this fact could not have been made more clear than during his speech during the Nuclear Security Summit where he questioned Trump's ability to effectively understand the United States' role in global politics. At the event, Obama passionately remarked that Trump's stances suggest that he "doesn't know much about foreign policy or nuclear policy or the Korean peninsula or the world generally."
He followed the dig by reminding the audience that not only are US elections closely followed in other countries, but that the president of the United States needs to "know what's going on around the world." "You don't mess with that" he stated, referring to the United States' relationship and presence in both Japan and the Republic of Korea and the comments made by Trump in a New York Times interview here. The overview of Trump's comments to the New York Times exemplifies his lack of understanding of the relationships that countless American lives have been sacrificed to forge, including encouraging other countries to construct their own nuclear weapons, a practiced that has been generally discouraged since World War II.
Previously, Obama had made anti-Trump statements at the Democratic fundraiser, mocking Republicans who are shocked by Trump's extremist movement. "This is the guy, remember, who was sure that I was born in Kenya. Who just wouldn’t let it go. And all this same Republican establishment, they weren’t saying nothing. As long as it was directed at me, they were fine with it. They thought it was a hoot. Wanted to get his endorsement. And then now, suddenly, we’re shocked that there’s gambling going on in this establishment." Obama reminded the audience, going on to say that that Trump was a result of voters not caring about facts or evidence.
Similarly to his stances on abortion, Trump reversed his previously criticized stances on nuclear arms. When questioned on his stance's contradictory delivery during a CNN interview, Trump said both that nuclear weapons should be proliferated, but then in his next statement, retracted his support.
But are we really surprised when Trump is openly violent, racist and cruel towards the disabled, has made openly sexual remarks about his own daughter, and is anti women.
