Thanks Obama

As Trump's inauguration passes us I find myself reminiscing on the past. For the last eight years of my life I've looked up to President Barack Obama and his leadership. As someone who just voted in her first election, and has grown up with Obama as her president, I am hopeful for the future.

Dear Barack Obama,

Thanks a lot, no seriously, thank you. You have provided America and the rest of the world with a great example of leadership, responsibility, and morality. I have never seen so many of my friends (those damn millennials) come together and praise one person. We see you as such a positive figure that we cannot picture living in this country without you running it. Now that may be because you were elected president when we were still in grammar school and now we are in college, but it feels like you have always been there for us and I know that you will continue to be there for us.

I want to commend you and your family for your time at the White House. I look up to you, your wife, and your daughters. You have all held such a high standard while being the President. Thank you for not letting your girls grow up too fast and keeping them as normal as possible. Thank you girls for not rebelling against your parents and always behaving. Michelle, thank you for being one of the most successful and down to earth first ladies we have had.

Barack Obama will forever go down in history. You will never be hated like other presidents were and will be. I want to thank you for not only running this country to the best of your ability, but for also being yourself. By showing an inside look into the White House and your relationship with Joe Biden you allowed us to see you as a human, not just our President.

Because of your leadership and willingness to listen, I am much more hopeful for the future. I know plenty of people that are terrified for you to leave office but I know that we can get through whatever is thrown at us, together. #YesWeCan, #YesWeDid, #YesWeCan again. I have hope that all of your hard work will not go to waste and that we will continue to grow and fix our country. Thank for you sticking around for eight years of my life because you're the only man to do that besides my dad.

You've put up with the "Thanks Obama" jokes for so long, but just know they probably won't end anytime soon. So, thanks Obama. Thank you for everything you've done for this country in your whole political career. I am excited to see what you accomplish after leaving the office. I know you will always be there for us and will not allow this country to be ruined by anyone.

Thank You

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
