New York City, the city that never sleeps and the place you will never run out of things to do. As I enter into fall of my first year in NYC, I have started this bucket list of all the things I wish to see and eventually do.
In no particular order:
Watch the ball drop on New Year's Eve
See the Statue of Liberty
Wake up early and and be an audience member of Good Morning America
Check out The Bronx Zoo
The Bronx Zoo is home to my favorite animal, the Snow Leopard. It is also one of the world’s largest zoos, housing about 600 species, and has been around since 1899.
Go ice skating at Rockefeller Plaza
Eat at Serendipity 3
I saw this place on the Food Network and have been adamant about visiting ever since. Known for its glorious ice cream and frozen hot chocolate, Serendipity 3 looks to host the grandest ice cream parlor. They also serve the Golden Opulence Sundae, which is ice cream infused with gold and imported ingredients from around the globe, costing $1,000 (Sadly, I won’t be ordering that). It holds the Guinness World record for most expensive sundae, takes two days to prepare, and is averaged to sell one every month.
Explore the Museum of Natural History
Walk the High Line (day and night)
See The Rockettes Radio City Christmas Spectacular live
I always thought it’d be really cool to be a Rockette.
Visit the National September 11 Museum and Memorial
Wander around The Metropolitan Museum of Art
My sister told me you could spend days here. I want to spend days looking at art.
Get a Rainbow Bagel
Who wouldn’t want to try a RAINBOW bagel? It’s beautiful.
See the national Christmas tree lighting
Visit Coney Island
Eat at Black Tap
The most outrageous milkshake you’ll ever have.
Stroll around Central Park and Ride in a Horse-Drawn Carriage
I wonder how many dogs there will be.
Have authentic cuisine in Chinatown
See New York City Ballet perform at Lincoln Center
Specifically The Nutcracker. Or, really any ballet performances.
Watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in person
Have fun at Karaoke night
I don't sing, but who knows.
Check out the Museum of Ice Cream
Sprinkles galore.
Go to the top of the Empire State Building
America’s fifth largest skyscraper with 102 floors, I imagine a pretty spectacular view from the top. The Empire State building also has its own zip code 10118, and from 2004 to 2008 the 24th floor was dedicated solely to napping.
Try a cupcake from Magnolia Bakery
Chocolate or Carrot first?
See (as many) Broadway Musicals (as possible)
This list is subjected to be added on to at anytime, because there is always something spectacular happening in New York City.
