New York City

Your favorite place can say a lot about you

Stop and ask yourself what your favorite place in the world is. You can learn a lot about someone from that simple question. There are so many places I have loved through years of traveling but my heart always goes back to NYC and here’s why:

To me, New York City represents this idea of constant variety and opportunity as well as a fast paced society, which the city is filled with. I also trust in the importance of seeing beyond what is right in front of me and instead seek opportunities far outside my reach. Something I believe this city encourages people to do. It is a world filled with chances just waiting for the next champion to claim their prize. I also admire New York City because the city is about being true to yourself amongst the chaos on the streets. It’s important in life to stand out against the crowd, not to just blend in. The city can be a rough world and the only way to survive is having a strong and determined work ethic, heart and mind; three things that if you don’t already have, NYC will teach you.

NYC is a place I could never get tired of because it is so full of life and adventure. There is Time Square, Columbus Circle, Soho. There are also soothing areas that are quiet and family oriented like Central Park. Each area has something so different to offer and it’s all just a subway or taxi ride away. Not to mention the power and success that Wall Street and the financial district exude. The skyscrapers represent such command and supremacy that NYC has on the world. The city is about creating success for yourself and sharing it with the business eager world that New York City is known for.

This city not only has such grandiose buildings to admire but it also contains some streets and alley ways filled of fashion and unique shops and restaurants that are hidden gems. Just by simply walking around there is a new place to discover everyday. I think that is the beauty of the city; discovering new places you have never seen before that were right under your nose. The city gives you second chances to rediscover something new all the time. It’s a place that fills you with knowledge and excitement. I think being excited about life and new findings is the best way to live.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.

What's up Asshat,

I've composed a list of things that I wish upon you, and they're harsh and cruel. These things are things that I wouldn't wish upon my worst of enemies, not even that Starbuck's barista who always screws up my order, not even him. You fall into a whole other category of hate. You surpass Starbucks barista. Congratulations, I'm actually a pretty nice person, making you worthy of every single bit of torture I wish upon you. What are these things I wish upon you you might ask?
