Welcome to the family.

Now That You're My Little...

Little,

It's only been a short time since you joined our family, but I know I couldn't be happier. When I got emailed the official list and saw that your name was next to mine, I jumped and squealed with excitement.

Big Little week was a blast! Crafting all night and those last minute Michael runs were worth it when you would post a picture of it at the end of the day. Reveal got my heart pumping as I was wrapped up in the discount Christmas wrapping paper I had purchased. The whole time nervous, I know you had picked me somewhere on your list but their was a slight fear that when you unwrapped me you wouldn't be happy. Boy, did you prove me wrong. The second you unwrapped me, you wrapped me again in a tight hug.

I am so lucky to have a little like you. Someone who didn't care if I couldn't get the reveal shirts in on time, or how great my crafts were (even though they were stellar). Someone who was just genuinely excited to reach the end of the week so that our Big/little relationship could begin.

You have a wonderful family you joined. I am lucky enough not just for a wonderful little, but a wonderful big. My big, your grand-big, has been a true big sister to me since day one. Through thick and thin, through random venting phone calls and just watching HGTV on a Saturday night in, she has always been there. Just like she is there for me, she can't wait to get to know you more. The first time she met you was during Big/little week and afterwards she sprinted upstairs to tell me how perfect you are.

I vow to you that I will be as present, loving and particularly sassy as my own big.

I vow to always be a phone call or text away.

I vow to maintain our best friends status on SnapChat.

I vow to make time for you as much as possible.

I vow to help you through your life in our sorority and your life in general.

I can't say enough how lucky I am to get the opportunity to get to know you on such a personal level and grow this special big/little bond. I will try my absolute best to be the best big I can be.

With Love,

Big

Sorority

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
