Your vote matters, even though it may not seem like it because you are one in millions of people voting. Every vote is to be put towards the leader of our country; in saying this, you have an important decision to make, one that is in the hands of us. This presidential election seems to bring out very strong opinions for certain candidates. Every single one of us has the right to speak about our opinions of what is best for this country, so the best way to make your opinions matter and your voice heard is to go vote.

One thing I cannot stress enough about this election is to do your research and know what each candidate has to offer. We often get bombarded with the media throwing us information from all aspects that may or may not be true. The media is there to inform us, but there are also cases where they are there to manipulate our views of someone.Whether you are voting for Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, or a Third-Party candidate, it is important you know what their plan is for this country and what their viewpoints are on certain issues. As a young voter and this being the first presidential election I get to vote for, it is important for me to know what each candidate is going to do to fix the issues our country is facing. It is hard to dedicate your vote to someone who you are not too sure about. I do not know 100% on who I want to vote for. Like many Americans, I am undecided and our time is running out. This election has been quite controversial. Do your research, go rewatch the debates, and see which candidate you think is better suited to help our country. If you do not vote, you cannot complain on aspects of government such as taxes or education. By voting, it is your way of showing that you want change.

So before you go vote on November 8th, make sure you do not let anyone make you change your views on any particular matter. This is your voice, your vote, and your way to express your opinions on what matters to you and this country. As you step away from the polls, you should feel good about your decision.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
