In case you haven't been paying much attention to the news, Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris caught fire on April 15th, 2019. Thankfully, the Medival era cathedral survived to live another day, but not without some noticeable features gone.
The spire on the roof of the cathedral and the roof itself gave way to the flames. Thankfully, a majority of the original artwork and artifacts were saved from the blaze.
The cause of the blaze is unknown, but officials believe that it was accidentally caused by the renovation work going on inside the cathedral.
This cathedral has been the symbol of Paris and most of Europe for decades. It survived both World Wars and now a giant blaze.
Notre Dame has always been a symbol of Paris, France, and Christianity, but now it is a symbol of strength and hope. The Cathedral will never be the same building it was, but it will have no meaning and will continue to last forever.
