What a man

Why do we love the character, Chuck Bass? Here are 10 things we love about him and more. The man with a past, a lover, a fighter and a drinker of sorts. Here is why, "Gossip Girl" fans love Chuck!

1. He is original.

He is one an a million. There is not really a character in the show like him. I mean, he is the interesting one, let's face it. You hate him at first and then he pulls you in.

2. He has a dark history.

Between his relationship with his father, and the mysterious mother. Chuck has had a crazy childhood. He tries to impress his father and never get recognition for anything. He grew up with a cold heart and does not plan on opening up for anyone. He is cynical, mean, and down right awesome.

3. He is complicated -- not your average dude.

So Chuck hides his feelings for Blair, and then shows them. He is also scared of commitment, but knows what he wants. He is a bit of a balance beam, and while watching the show, you literally yell at the screen when he does not go to Tuscany with Blair. His feelings are ultimately. well... complicated.

4. He is the first character Dan Humphrey writes about.

Even though Dan cannot stand him, he finds out Chuck interesting secrets and tries to live dangerously with him as well. Even Dan is a fan of Chuck!

5. He is, well, so very attractive

How can you not stare at him. The way he looks at Blair when she enters a room. How he lays back in the corner observing everybody. When he insults somebody and is spiteful out of nowhere. I just love how he looks down in approval of something. Which oddly makes her Beauty and him the Beast.

6. He, legit, has a private investigator on speed dial.

Whenever he needs to exploit or plot against for those he cares about, he makes a call.

7. The way he loves Blair.

He breaks our hearts. I mean look at that face! They will always be meant to be. Their relationship is like a huge roller coaster throughout the whole show. We choose him every time!

8. He doesn't care if you like him.

He is who he is, and he is not going to change that. Chuck Bass is powerful and he does not care if you like him or not. Deal with it!

9. He still believes in love.

Even with his dark past, his families hysterics, and the corruption that money brings to his world; Chuck Bass has a sensitive side. Even though he does not like to admit it. He seems to be there for those he cares about all of the time. Especially Blair!

10. Deep down, he is your favorite.

What would this show be like without the character Chuck Bass? He brings originality, a crazy past, he breaks our hearts, and he is the kind of man who is written about. There are definitely many Chucks in the world, so come out wherever you are!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
