19 Things That Would Change If "The Notebook" Was Set In 2015
"I wrote you 365 letters. I wrote you every day for a year"
"You wrote me?"
"Yes... it wasn't over, it still isn't over!"

Yes, our favorite Nicholas Sparks movie at our favorite scene of "The Notebook." I am sure we all know that the movie shows a young couple who fall in love in the 1940s. Noah narrates from the present day telling the tale of his love story to his love, Allie. "The Notebook" was made in 2004 and since 2004, the movie has every girl waiting anxiously for her Noah to come around.

Since this movie is already nine years old (omg!), I thought I would give it a little modern twist and see what this movie would be like if it were set in 2015.

1. Noah reads Allie the story from a Kindle.

2. Instead of being an heiress, Allie would be a popular Instagram blogger.

3. Noah would first see Allie when her selfie was retweeted onto his timeline.

4. Noah would try to get Allie’s attention by persistently favoriting her tweets.

5. Instead of lying in the street to be dangerous, Noah and Allie would Parkour.

6. Allie would think of Noah every time she checked her TimeHop.

7. Allie’s fiancé Lon Hammond would be a popular Vine star.

8. Noah would see Allie again when he drove past her in a Uber.

9. Adele’s “Hello” would play when Noah and Allie saw each other again.

10. Instead of riding on bikes, Noah and Allie would ride on their hoverboards.

11. Noah would figure out to build a house via Pinterest DIY articles.

12. Allie would find out about Noah’s house through a Buzzfeed article.

13. Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean” would play when Allie is deciding who to pick.

14. Allie would have to go through a year’s worth of text messages. Undoubtedly, her phone would crash half way through.

15. Lon Hammond would find out where Allie was from her Snapchat story.

16. Noah and Allie would never venture outside but, instead watch a lot of Netflix.

17. Allie would avoid reversing into the fence because she would have a reverse camera that backs up your car for you.

18. Allie’s painting passion would instead be taking Tumblr pictures.

19. In the year 2004 or 2015, Noah and Allie's love wouldn't change for each other.

"I've only slept nine hours over the past four days, so I'm right on the verge of a nervous breakdown." - Leslie Knope

Parks and Recreation excitedly gathered around a laptop at a table in an office setting.

The library. Club lib. The place every college student goes when they want to try and be a productive member of society. Who better to explain your experience than Parks and Rec?

1. When you've finally found the energy to leave your dorm room and walk into the lib like

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
