Hi, how are you?
I'm sure you're enjoying life, running around in your back yard, and the only thing you're concerned about is what you should ask Santa for for Christmas. Your summers are spent swimming in the backyard pool, and spending time with your older sisters who you adore so much. Family and friends are the most important thing to you, and you're not exactly sure where your life will take you.
But I need you to realize some things as you grow. Life will not always be the easiest, and there will be times you think the whole world is against you. But it is how you handle the tough times that will make you who you are.
When you think about your future someday, it seems big and scary. You had thought you wanted to be a teacher since you were little. You loved helping others, and using your knowledge in many ways. But things will change, and you will explore different paths you want to take. No matter where you end up in your career, it will be the perfect option for you. Even if it means trying out a few different options before you decide. Just remember, money isn't everything, and truly doing something you love everyday is so much more important than that paycheck every week.
You will face some things in life that are the hardest times yet. Losing someone isn't easy, and you will face lots of loss through the years. The important thing is to tell loved ones you love them when you still have the chance, and making sure you look back on the good times spent with the people you miss. Other losses can be in the form of a friend moving on, or getting a bad grade in a college class. Don't get too hung up on the things you can't change, and always know that more is coming your way.
Finding love isn't easy. For some, the first person they meet is the one, and for most others, it takes a lot of searching to find the perfect person. Don't get discouraged if you don't find "the one" right away, it will come in the perfect timing for you. Sometimes the best thing you can do is stop searching!
Always try to stay positive, and don't forget to spend time with family. Truly do things you enjoy, and don't ever lose that smile. Spend time outside, and take care of yourself first. Study hard, and work even harder. Don't ever be afraid to laugh during the good times, and always let your creative side shine. Say your "I love you's" and don't get too caught up in the past.
Life may be hard, and sometimes it really gets you down, but don't ever get too discouraged, and keep moving on. Don't ever loose that happy-go-lucky attitude, and remember, what is meant to happen will happen.
- From, an older you.
