To The Father Of My Children

Thank you for loving me even when I could not love myself.

To The Father Of My Children

To the Man that I love dearly,

Thank you. For just being YOU.

It's 11 p.m. and here i am watching you while you are sleeping, You have your arm gracefully over your face right now while you slip a small snore here and there. I don't know why but i can not seem to help but think about how peaceful you look right now. Gosh, you so deserve it too.

Thank you for working so hard to support all five of us.

I don't deserve you. You pull 40-60 hours a week just so that I can stay home and care for our family.I sure am one lucky gal. Never once do you complain about it either. Not to mention, you wake me up to coffee and breakfast on the days you are off so that i can sleep in an hour or two longer. Oh the relief that those few hours give me.

Thank you for helping me with our kids and being thoughtful of my needs, too.

Because of you, I can rest peacefully at night after a long hard day. From getting a candle lit bath (alone); to getting to go to the grocery store without having to get the kids out; even though it took me two hours to do 45 minutes of shopping. Once again, you did not complain. You are the most selfless man I've met, ever.

But more importantly, thank you for not giving up on us & for loving me- even when i could not love myself.

Before you came along I had faced many dark times alone. But now I know that as long as i have you by my side that there is nothing to be afraid of. When I had nobody, felt alone and empty, you literally picked me up and dusted me off reminding me that it is just a speed bump. I know, deep down inside, that you're Heaven sent. I thank God daily for you and I always pray for you, us, and our family.

Because of you i now know that the meaning of "home" isn't a place- it's a feeling. You are my home, my safe place, and I can not wait to see what our future holds.

I love you, so much.

Sincerely,

A very thankful wife.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

What is "talking?" How does one "talk?"

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
