Stop Being Boring And Dress Up For Halloween

We all know that one person who thinks they're too cool for a Halloween costume. Spoiler alert: they're not. Dressing up for Halloween is fun for everyone, and you're wrong if you disagree.

Halloween is a holiday that is always surrounded by an eerie excitement that can only be explained by colder weather, great food, classic movies, and COSTUMES. Whether you choose to be creative, bold, extravagant, or whatever else, putting on a costume is fun, and Halloween is one of the only acceptable times to do so.

Anyone who refuses to partake in dressing up for the occasion is truly a killer of joy. And their negative attitudes suck the fun out of everyone around them.

There are so many creative and fun ways to dress up that it should be illegal not to. You can take any costume idea and make it slutty. You can gender swap costumes in a creative way. You can use whatever you already have to make your costume. You can do couples' costumes. You can do group costumes. The possibilities are endless! You have to be truly lazy and boring to not put *something* together.

You can dress up as something classic and scary. You can dress as a Disney character. You can dress as your favorite TV show character or actor. You can dress up as a fictional book character. You can dress up as the "three-hole punch" version of yourself. Just dress up as something.

You can rely heavily on face paint or makeup. You can put together an extravagant costume that took you weeks to make. You can buy something from Party City. How your costume comes together doesn't matter, as long as it exists. There's inspiration everywhere!

If you're a parent, don't use your child as a cop-out to not dress up. If you have to work that day, do something subtle. The spirit of Halloween is in the thought behind your costume, not how great or ordinary it is. You're never too cool or old to dress up for Halloween.

So for the love of everyone who loves Halloween (which is pretty much everyone), please participate by putting the bare-minimum effort into a costume. Be a good sport, stop being boring, and dress up for Halloween.

5 Untold Struggles Of The Short Friend

I'm the Short Friend. I've been the Short Friend since about the seventh grade. I'm the one who stands in the front of the photos, gets made fun of for their height, and still shops in the kids department.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone
Youtube

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
