5 Of The Best Halloween Movies For All You 'Scaredy Cats'

Halloween is almost here and while most of us are busy getting our scares on, that doesn't mean the spooky holiday is for everyone.

With horror movies not being something that everyone cares for during the Halloween-season, I've decided to compile a list of the best horror movies that aren't actually scary.

So, without further ado, let's check out the 10 best Halloween movies (that's perfect for all you scaredy cats!)

1. "Halloweentown"

If there's one movie series that screams Halloween and not scary, it's Disney's cult-classic "Halloweentown." Whether you're a pre-teen to a twenty-something, this movie is a classic and a must see for the holiday season.

2. "Hocus Pocus"

If there's one movie besides "Halloweentown" that calls out to your childhood for best Halloween movie, it's got to be "Hocus Pocus." The beloved Disney movie pops up quite a bit during the holiday season, and for good reason, it's amazing.

The film isn't too scary and the fall aesthetics is what dreams are made of. Plus, the only thing the Sanderson sisters will do is put a spell on you!

3. All Tim Burton movies everĀ

This may or may not have been a good idea to combine. Tim Burton is the master of children's horror and he does it pretty well. These movies are absolutely perfect for this time of year because it still gives us creepy vibes, but no nightmares (especially not those of the Freddy Krueger kind!)

Here's some good ones:

1. "Nightmare Before Christmas"

2. "Edward Scissorhands"

3. "Beetlejuice"

4. "Corpse Bride"

5. "Frankenweenie"

4. "Harry Potter" series

Okay.

So "Harry Potter" is technically not a horror movie, nor is it a movie that you have to watch for Halloween, but that's fine because this series is still perfect for a Halloween binge-session. There are eight movies in the Harry Potter-verse, and they go from cute to dark throughout the series' progression.

With witches and wizards to muggles and flying broomsticks, the "Harry Potter" movies are perfect for any binge-a-thon you'd want for a Halloween scare (but not really.)

5. "Goosebumps"

"Goosebumps" may have been a mini-series in the '90s and not a film, but that's probably okay.

The series' took inspiration from R.L. Stine and as if the books weren't creepy enough, they turned his horrifying children's tales into things we can watch onscreen. While this may primarily be a scary film for a younger audience, there's still some chills and thrills you'll find in adulthood.

Did you agree with my list?

Let me know! What's your favorite non-scary horror movie?!

Going to the gym and working out on a daily basis (with breaks once in awhile) has been a great way for me to feel good about myself. It is 100% more than just looking good. Especially after starting college and having the stress and anxiety of tests, assignments, and just figuring out my future, the gym at my school has definitely been a place of relief for me and I have numerous reasons of why everyone should push themselves to get to the gym when they can.

Between procrastinating on an essay that is due at midnight to getting your first library card (if you know what I mean), college is a time that you should not take for granted, yet it is also a time where you feel like your entire world is falling apart. It is a time where one day you can feel like you are on top of the world and then the next day you are 500 feet below the ground surface.

It's a pain to learn but it's definitely worth it in the end.

When I was learning how to talk, I was taught both Portuguese and English at the same time. In elementary school, I started taking mandatory Spanish classes, which I did well in because of my knowledge of Portuguese. Then in high school, on top of taking Spanish, I also started taking French. Now, in college, already fluent in English and Portuguese, I'm in the process of becoming fluent in Spanish, and I have a standard high school level understanding of French.
