Not getting invited back to a chapter, frankly, sucks.
You go through this entire week meeting new friends, going to visit all of the chapters at your school, and you get attached. I went into recruitment knowing I probably wouldn't make it into a sorority, so really I shouldn't be as upset as I am.
However, it all just feels like a giant waste of time. I put on my best face and powered through the two days of recruitment I was a part of, and it was fun. I enjoyed it. I made some friends and met a lot of people I could be friends with for a long time.
On the bright side, maybe Greek life isn't for everyone. I'm upset, but it doesn't feel like the end of the world. So if you're planning on going through recruitment, don't get your hopes up too high. Being in a sorority isn't everything in this world, there's so many other ways to get involved on your campus other than Greek life.
So to the girls who didn't want me, your loss.
