I swear that we are not all evil, not even every Slytherin from the books are evil. I know..I know. He shall not be named was a Slytherin, but I promise that we're not all crazy and evil like him. WE ARE cunning, not evil and I'll give you some Slytherins who were not evil! Also, this contains spoilers from the latest book, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

Severus Snape

No matter what anyone tries to say, this man was never evil. In fact, James Potter and Sirius Black were borderline evil with what they had done to him. Yet, Severus still helped Harry, even though he was James' son all because he was also the son of the girl he loved. Dumbledore even trusted him like no other. This man was kind and loyal to those he cared, protecting Harry was an example of his loyalty to Lily. He was a great man and absolutely deserves to have his portrait hung in Hogwarts.

Narcissa Black

Narcissa was never evil. She was a loving mother who unconditionally loved her son more than anything. She was a little screwed in the head when it came to blood purity. Yet, who wouldn't be when you're raised to be that way? She even lied to He Who Shouldn't Be Named about Harry's death. She was a mother who would do anything for her son, and I can't really see the fault in that.

Draco Malfoy

Okay, so the kid was kind of a jerk in the beginning. But, really really who hasn't gone through a phase like that. In the long run, he was just a kid misguided by the beliefs of his parents, who ultimately realized that he was in the wrong. Though, he totally did deserve that punch to the face by Hermione.

Albus Potter

The second son of the boy who lived and the youngest Weasley is, in fact, a Slytherin. Which of course, is absolutely fine BECAUSE WE ARE NOT EVIL. He even became goof friends with Scorpius, Draco's son.

Merlin

Oh yeah, the arguably most famous wizard in history, was a Slytherin. One who believed in muggle rights!

None of the characters I listed are evil, sure some have had some no so nice moments, but they were NOT evil. None of us are. We're cunning, not evil.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
