If you have a family that is anything like mine, you spend every evening during the holiday season watching a holiday movie. But what happens when you run out of movies to watch in the middle of December? Well, have no worries! Here are 10 non-Christmas movies that will still keep your holiday spirits up:

1. The Sound of Music

This is personally my all-time favorite movie. But with a strong message of following your heart and music that you will have you humming while baking it in the kitchen, this movie pairs perfectly with a warm fire and some eggnog.

2. Beauty and the Beast (2017)

The wintery castle will give you all the Christmas feels.

3. Remember the Titans

I mean, what's Christmas without football?

4. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

For the love of Santa, please watch the original. The Johnny Depp version is just creepy.

5. Forrest Gump

Need some life lessons from Momma this holiday season? This movie is for you.

6. Pretty Woman

This time of year, we all need to be reminded not to judge a book by its cover.

7. Steel Magnolias

Julia Roberts is just too perfect, okay?

8. The Wizard of Oz

A scarecrow and a gingerbread man are pretty similar, right?

9. The Proposal

Sandra Bullock is the queen of feel-good movies!

10. The Breakfast Club

This is not only a feel-good movie, but a feel-good classic. Plus, we can always learn a little something from Molly Ringwald.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
