Ever since Trump was elected president, Trump supporters constantly kept saying to give him a chance. They said that despite everything he said throughout the election, he was going to a good president. But ever since his inauguration, everything has gone downhill. In just 8 days, he has managed to get 53% of the U.S. population against him.

Within his first 8 days in office, he has signed off on so many executive orders that affect a variety of different people in this country and around the world. He made an executive order about starting construction on the border wall, and he plans on using American tax dollars to pay for this wall. Then after it's finished he plans on making Mexico reimburse the U.S. for the wall. However, none of this is actually possible. Unless he plans on going to war with Mexico so they can pay for the wall, they aren't going to actually pay for it, no matter what Trump says. At this point, Mexico is done with the U.S. and Trump, they even got to the point of boycotting all of the U.S. companies in Mexico. The U.S. is going to lose a lot of money due to this boycott. But Trump has not realized that yet, he's acting as if this is some kind of game.

On top of that, he put out a ban of all Muslim refugees from 7 different countries, from entering the U.S., also including those who have visas. People's lives are in danger in some of these countries and Trump is just choosing to turn his back on them. He is choosing not to help them in their time of need. Along with this, the people who do have visas and are from these countries are in in danger of being deported or if they are outside the country they are not able to re-enter the country. This is due to the fact that these countries are on some kind of terrorist list and because of this, Trump believes that the people from these countries are some kind of danger; when most of them are fleeing whatever horrible living situations their countries are going through.

Trump has just caused a lot of chaos and has created a lot of tension between the U.S. and other countries. He has completely dismantled what a democracy is and has caused for a lot of issues to grow. A lot of people, especially in other countries, are against what is going on right now in the U.S. For most of us, we don't see it getting any better any time soon. I honestly don't even know what more to expect from him, at this point, all hell has broken loose. I just have to hope for the best.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
