On February 4, Kylie Jenner released a statement about her well-hidden pregnancy. In her statement she explained her reasoning for keeping such an important time in her life secret.

Kylie made this statement on Instagram two days after giving birth to a baby girl. (Photo/@kyliejenner on Instagram.)

She also shared this photo of her daughter whom she named Stormi. (Photo/@kyliejenner on Instagram.)

In the beginning of the statement, she apologized for having kept it hidden away. In my opinion, however; she should not have to apologize for making this decision.

As one of the most influential young people of our time, Kylie is constantly under incredible scrutiny. From what she wears to questions about if she has had cosmetic procedures, she cannot do anything without this scrutiny from the public.

During pregnancy, it is crucial that the mother remain as stress-free as possible. Stress on the mother is not good for her or for her baby.

According to the United States National Library of Medicine and National Institutes of Health, mothers who experience great amounts of stress during pregnancy are 1.4 to 1.8 times more likely to have a premature birth. Another study also done by the national library of medicine indicates that mothers who experience copious amounts of stress during gestation are also 2.0 to 3.8 times more likely to give birth to a child with a low birth weight.

With the weight of the world and all eyes on her, Kylie Jenner had every right to fly under the radar during her pregnancy. It was for her well being as well as the well-being of her baby. For that, she does not owe the public an apology or any explanation.

Though she lives much of her life in the eyes of the public, that does not mean that the public is entitled to know everything about her and her private life.

In my opinion, I think it was actually very mature of her to keep her pregnancy private. She did not exploit her pregnancy and use it for personal gain. Keep in mind that she could have very well made a lot of money off of that time in her life.

Instead, she chose her own health as well as the health of her baby over money and/or publicity. That, to me, is incredibly mature.

The way she went about the last nine months will ultimately benefit her and her child and I applaud her for taking this time to rest and take care of herself and her new daughter.

Congratulations to Kylie, I think she will be a great mom.

The Battle Between College And My Mental Health

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
