Have you ever had an idea for a project and gotten far enough into to realize it's not a great idea, but also that you've come too far to stop now? Maybe you've realized you're in the middle of a potentially poor decision, at which point you could either try to course correct or double down. That was No Shave November, for me. I chose to double down.
For those who don't know, facial hair is just generally uncomfortable. It's scratchy, itchy, and because I am not able to grow a full beard, a little unsightly. I knew this going in but wanted to try it anyway.
About halfway through the month, I regretted that decision. I also realized, after completing the documentation portion of this experiment, that watching hair grow is exactly as exciting as it sounds.
So I present to you my beard growth over the course of a month: a [not so] scientific adventure in ideas that sounded good at the time, but probably should have been thought through a bit more.
